Bandung (09/09) PT Dirgantara Indonesia (Persero) (PTDI), through its Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, together with the defense industry companies that are members of Defend ID, organized the Defend ID Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Training with the theme “Building Resilient, Independent, and Competitive MSMEs” at Grafika Cikole, Lembang, West Bandung Regency, on Wednesday (09/09). The activity was attended by 32 MSMEs fostered by Defend ID.

This activity is part of PTDI and Defend ID’s efforts to strengthen the capacity of business owners by providing training relevant to current business needs. Not only focusing on business sustainability, the program is also aimed at encouraging MSMEs to optimize product quality, strengthen their business identity, and adapt to developments in digital-based marketing.

For PTDI, MSME empowerment is an important part of the implementation of its TJSL program, which is not only oriented toward providing assistance, but also toward improving the capabilities and independence of the community. Through practical training, MSME owners are expected to optimize their business potential, ranging from improving product presentation to utilizing digital channels to expand their marketing reach.

The activity was also attended by representatives of the Badan Pengaturan BUMN (BP BUMN) as part of Defend ID’s synergy in strengthening the implementation of its MSME empowerment program.

In this training, participants were equipped with practical knowledge and skills on product packaging development as well as product photography and videography using smartphones. The materials were delivered by practitioners and business owners, namely the Owner of Rumah Kemasan Bandung & Kitapreneur.id, Mohamad Firsan, and the Production Manager of Rumah Kemasan Bandung, Ridha Rifandi Nugraha. The training is expected to help participants create more attractive product presentations while optimizing the use of digital media as part of their marketing strategy.

“We from BP BUMN appreciate Defend ID’s initiative in organizing this MSME empowerment activity. Amidst industrial development and digitalization, MSMEs need to continuously improve their product quality, one of which is through proper packaging and the ability to utilize social media. We hope that the knowledge gained today will not stop at theory, but can be implemented to create a real impact on improving the quality, competitiveness, and ability of MSMEs to move up to the next level,” said Sub-Coordinator of BUMN TJSL, Khairul Mampei.

“PTDI views MSME empowerment as an important part of the Company’s contribution to creating sustainable economic benefits. Through the TJSL program and Defend ID synergy, we strive to provide guidance that is relevant to the needs of MSMEs, so that business owners are not only able to maintain their businesses, but can also continue to grow, move up to the next level, and strengthen their competitiveness,” said PTDI Corporate Secretary, Rommy Indah Jayanti.

The benefits of the training were also experienced by Siti Saidah, one of PTDI’s fostered MSMEs who runs a traditional sponge cake business, Bolu Jadul. She appreciated the opportunity to gain new knowledge that could be directly applied to develop her business.

“I would like to thank PTDI for facilitating my participation in this activity. There are so many benefits I gained from participating in this training, from learning about packaging and other things that have broadened my knowledge as an MSME owner so that I can make further progress in the future,” said Siti Saidah.

Through the Defend ID TJSL synergy, PTDI will continue to promote empowerment programs that provide sustainable benefits to the community. Training relevant to business needs is expected to strengthen fostered MSMEs, enhance their ability to respond to major changes, and open opportunities for sustainable business development.
